Polymath Council trains students across all levels of WCA events, from standard 2×2, 3×3, 4×4 cubes to larger puzzles like 5×5, 6×6, and 7×7. Students are introduced to structured methods such as CFOP, Roux, and advanced reduction techniques, progressing to blindfolded solving, multi-cube sequences, and sub-10 second 3×3 solving.

The curriculum is designed to develop:

  • Pattern recognition & spatial reasoning: solving increasingly complex cube states

  • Memory & focus: for blindfolded and multi-step solving

  • Speed & efficiency: sub-10 second techniques, finger tricks, and timing strategies

  3. Advanced: CFOP full method, Roux method exposure, 6×6, 7×7

  4. Expert: Blindfolded solving, sub-10 3×3 training, multi-cube practice

From Fundamental to Advanced Mental Arithmetic by building numerical intuition and working memory

Abacus training at Polymath Council progresses from basic arithmetic to advanced mental calculation, using structured modules inspired by PAMA Global Abacus Mental Arithmetic Association. Students develop mental visualization, enabling calculations without the physical abacus.

The curriculum includes:

  • Basic Operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division

  • Intermediate Skills: fractions, decimals, square roots, and percentages

  • Advanced Modules: large numbers, algebraic calculations, speed drills

  • Mental Abacus Transition: visualizing beads for fast mental computation
